NDP has best chance in Esquimalt-JDF

I wish the NDP, Liberal and Green parties would stop splitting the progressive vote.

Here in Esquimalt-Juan de Fuca, people who are not Conservative are wondering how to vote. In the last election, my brother voted for Keith Martin and the Liberals.

I and the rest of my family had decided to support Keith Martin if he ran again. Since he is not running again, we will all be voting for the NDP candidate, Randall Garrison. The last time Garrison ran against Troy DeSouza, Garrison received more votes than DeSouza.

I believe Garrison has the best chance to beat the Conservative candidate this time around.

This riding has only been represented by Martin (who ran with the Reform, Conservative and Liberal parties) and the NDP’s Dave Barrett.

I’m hoping this riding will return to the NDP and we’ll have a progressive minority government that will introduce national day care, pharmacare, credit card interest limits, better pensions for seniors, and a national strategy on affordable housing and poverty reduction instead of corporate tax cuts, subsidies to oil companies and cuts to government programs.
