New development makes no sense as water dwindles
A lot of times I’m left wondering if there’s anyone in charge down at the North Cowichan municipal hall or is it Donald Trump?
Last week we were told that because of drought and ever diminishing water supplies we were already starting water rationing this year.
OK. Got it. Not enough water for the current population so ration it. Simple.
But then what’s this? In the last issue of the Cowichan Valley Citizen the council is calling for new applications for new subdivisions and developments.
OK, I’m confused now.
Not enough water for current people so add more people?
I ask you my fellow Valley folks, do you think that somehow this makes sense?
