I am shocked to read that a Qualicum councilor wants to end strata age restrictions (The NEWS, July 20).
He is obviously not a senior. I am and I’ve done my time with noisy kids. I don’t want to have to listen to the splat of basketballs or the slap of skateboards or the noise of kids having fun laughing and screaming.
I have reached an age where I want peace and tranquility and quiet in my life. Been at that age for a very long time and have chosen to live in age-restricted stratas since I was 45. So I will fight tooth and nail to keep the strata age restrictions in place.
There is lots of room elsewhere with suitable facilities for children thank you.
