It was so much fun we want to do it again! Please consider this letter an open invitation to everyone in the North Thompson Valley. Clearwater and District Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual Gala affair and hope you can make it! Mark your calendars for Friday, Nov. 18 at Wells Gray Inn.
Our local youth talent pool will start the evening and dinner is set to be served at 6.30 “ish.” The food will be fabulous, the atmosphere fun and live music and dancing to follow. It’s an evening to raise a glass to all those who stand out and make this community great!
Nominations close Nov. 9. Forms can be found online or look for the gold boxes at participating retailers including Dee’s General Store, Home Hardware, Jim’s, Rona, Wells Gray Inn and Safety Mart.
The categories are:
· Citizen of the Year;
· Best Corporate Citizen;
· Business Excellence Award;
· Business Person of the Year;
· Service Excellence Award;
· Rookie of the Year (new business of the year);
· Community Spirit (best not for profit or volunteer group); and
·Youth Leadership and Initiative.

Our community has plenty of talent and often much of it stays in the background and quietly contributes by way of economics, volunteerism or in many cases, a whole bunch of both. On Nov. 18, come out and give a round of applause to all.
