I don’t always read the newspapers. However reading The News on March 18 took the wind out of my sails. First the feature letter by Don Reitsma, a senior citizen complaining about senior drivers behaving badly. However the one that took the biscuit was the column beside stating “nothing to do.”
What a load of baloney. Of course there were drugs and alcohol. That reminded me of some one I know who used to get drunk. When I said to him how he is stupid his retort; “You don’t know my troubles.” I told him whatever troubles he had real or imagined, when he wakes up in the morning his troubles will still be there. But on top of that he will have a hangover.

I think of ‘Laugh and the world laughs with you; Weep and you weep alone.’ For the sad old Earth must borrow its mirth. But had troubles enough of its own. ‘Two men behind bars, one sees mud, the other sees stars.’
