Nova Scotia mill practice raises questions about Crofton

Yesterday’s decision by Nova Scotia Premier Stephen McNeil to not extend Northern Pulp’s licence to dump effluent into the Bay of Fundy is a big win for First Nations and environmentists. Northern Pulp is owned by Paper Excellence, the same company that owns Crofton Mill. It is clear from the events that took place in Nova Scotia that Paper Excellence don’t give a damn about the environment. It would be interesting to find out what Crofton Mill is doing with its effluent.
