Your recent story on the panhandlers problems in Abbotsford reminded me of an article I saw on a TV documentary a while back on the same subject.
The show illustrated how a good panhandler can make about $400 a day. Now you do the math on that and figure out how much a month they are taking in. And, that is tax free.
It’s no wonder they panhandle. Why would they go and get a real job when panhandling is their job?
I recently saw the Gladwin Road panhandler get a $5 bill and when he thought no one was looking, took a wad of money out his pocket and wrapped the $5 around it. Like my father used to say, a wad of money that big would choke a horse.
It’s up to you, but I will not contribute to panhandlers.
