A man considered to be one of, if not the most intelligent man this planet has ever produced, Albert Einstein, once said “the definition of insanity is repeating an action over and over, but expecting different results each time.”
Each succeeding council for the last three elections has been facing what is now very apparent, that we no longer have a tax cash cow to pay for many of the things we have taken for granted for years.
The city of Campbell River has a large ( and well paid) workforce and budget to match which needs to be reduced in accordance with the drop in tax base.
What we as taxpayers need is council members who are able to make the needed cuts.
Being on council can be a tough job at the best of times, but these people obviously want the job.
Please listen to the taxpayers and represent our wishes, not your personal agendas.
