Christmas lights hang limp in a lonely pine tree
Rain collides with green foliage
Garden lights burn her brothers and sisters
Reflections
Down spouts echo with water
Snoring from within
A movement of winter air to cool my hot tea
And my neck
Tires on wet road
Thoughts of home
Family
Friends
And countryside
Shopping to do
Three weeks left
Tree up

At this time of year we think of all the people in our lives.
What they mean to us and how well we know them.
Let strangers be one of them
Talk to someone you would not
Perhaps a little something to show how you feel towards them
Start the conversation
In this day and age of high tech devices, it is so easy to defriend someone without knowing the reality.
Life should not be like a soap opera.
Pick up the phone
Hear the sounds in their voice
Make the effort
As always I sit outside on this glorious morning of rain and cold
No one up
Tea now cold from neglect
I think of giving a lot more than receiving
What I could do
And what I have done
Life should be about putting a smile on someone’s face
Young
Old
Female
Or male
Be silly
Have some fun
You’re never too old
Anyone up for lunch?
