A post made on the public Penticton Facebook page has once again brought illegal camping to the forefront of conversation in the city.

Homeless campers have been setting up along the pathway west of the Okanagan River channel, south of the Highway 97 bridge to Summerland, which is technically Penticton Indian Band land. One concerned citizen snapped photos on Sept. 23 of a campsite blocking the pathway, stating it was “an absolute mess.”
