Dear editor,
For reasons that are not important for the purposes of this letter, I was recently required to spend a week as a patient at Port Hardy Hospital. As a result, I feel it is important to make a few comments on the superb care I received while there.
From the doctors, through the nursing staff the housekeeping, almost without exception, I received professional and caring support. There are too many to mention them all, but there was Suzanne — mistress of the baths who got me up and walking, Joni-Rae with her warmth and sense of humour, Carly with her youthful enthusiasm for her chosen career, and many others equally deserving of recognition and commendation, but they know who they are.
Also, while not gourmet level, the food, once I got off Jello, was very good and ample.
Many sincere thanks to everybody I met in the hospital.
