Regarding the article “Justice Park in the spotlight” in The Morning Star July 29.
There are many classifications of parks. Justice Park is in the small, quite size.
We have lots of green areas throughout Vernon. We don’t need to clutter Justice Park. A couple of more benches would suffice. I have walked past that park every morning for years. I never fail to stop for a few seconds to enjoy its beauty and quietness. I have seen people reading there.
There is a history to Justice Park. At one time, there was a metal plaque on the southwest corner. I believe it was stolen but never replaced.
The people in the new offices are very lucky to have this quite zone nearby.
I hope the city will not fall by the wayside and ruin this gem of green.
