Provincial power shift could save local waters

One reader is hopeful the shift from the B.C. Liberals will protect wild fish stocks

It was with great relief that I found out that the BC NDP and the BC Greens had found common ground last week to take over the reins of power in B.C.

However, what I found so remarkably ludicrous was our current (soon to be ex) Premier’s ridiculous statement that “the transfer of provincial power shouldn’t be behind closed doors.”

This statement runs completely perpendicular to Premier Clarke’s tenor as the most recent government head of B.C., where the hidden agenda of the oligarchists had free run of the entire playing field of the political agenda in privacy.

As a small part of the oligarchy, did the Norwegian fish farmers pay into the BC Liberals campaign slush fund? I have no idea, but the optics are that the only way that they could get to stay and pollute our native fishery is that they are paying big time for the debauchery.

I am hopeful the new BC NDP/BC Green coalition will blow all of those fish farmers out of the water and end the decimation of our native Pacific Coast fish stock.
