To literacy providers in the Clearwater area –
On Raise a Reader Day – Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010 – the Kamloops and Area Raise a Reader campaign generated $55,367 for children’s and family literacy programs in the Kamloops area. The Kamloops Raise-A-Reader program supports grassroots, community projects focused on supporting literacy initiatives.
Raise a Reader grant applications are now being accepted. Organizations within the School District 73 boundary (Kamloops, Chase, Barriere, Clearwater, Logan Lake) are eligible to apply. Your application must meet specific criteria to be considered. Applicants can apply for a maximum of $5,000.
All applications must be received at the Interior Community Services office by 4 p.m., March 31. Emailed or late applications will not be considered.
