With 2018 mere weeks away, the promised LRT line for the new year is nowhere in sight.
That should come as good news to many of our readers, very few of whom seem to be in favour of the much-maligned LRT.
Now, a report from the University of Calgary backs up those who prefer the Skytrain south of the Fraser River. Mario Iacobacci, who has a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge, published the report in November.
In his report, he states that the Canada Line and Millennium Line Evergreen Extension show ‘significant value creation’ whereas the first phase of the Surrey LRT ‘is expected to destroy value.’
