As a citizen of Vernon, I would like to suggest that Patrick Nicol’s contributions to this community, from the perspectives of both his business involvement at Kiss FM and community involvement in untold numbers of ways on innumerable occasions affecting every facet of our city’s societal environment, are worthy of a greater emphasis and spotlight and more high profile acknowledgement than he ever sought or aspired to in person.
With those thoughts in mind, I would respectfully suggest that the “Patrick Nicol Memorial Performing Arts Centre” would be an appropriate recognition of and memorial to Patrick.
It seems clear that a corporate logo is not about to be affixed to that high-profile community facility, which in my view fortuitously makes it the ideal medium for such much deserved recognition.
