• Rotten tomatoes to both the Surrey Department of Streets and Transportation and Surrey and city council for ignoring feedback from residents and proceeding with the widening of 32nd Avenue. When it comes to 32nd Avenue, the history is clear – the concerns of TransLink and the trucking industry lobby are prioritized over the concerns of residents in North Grandview and Rosemary Heights.
• Roses to you all!
• I wish I could have met you. To the man who found my wallet in Safeway at King George and 104th on the evening of March 19th and turned it into the staff. As I arrived at the pharmacy and went to pay for my husband’s much-needed medication, realizing I had dropped my wallet, my heart dropped. I ran frantically through the aisles trying to redo my steps. Had I gone immediately to the service desk I would have known that some kind stranger had already turned it in. You have no idea how important those meds were for my husband and because of you I was able to complete my order. Roses are not enough to thank you for your kindness. You are my angel. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, dear man.
• Rotten tomatoes to City of Surrey, which authorized the cutting down of the beautiful tree on 168th near the Surrey Golf Course, which eagles, hawks and numerous other birds used. Can’t understand why.
• Roses to all the people in Surrey who planted bulbs that are now popping up and brightening our days.
