  • Rotten tomatoes to our new mayor Doug McCallum and his newly elected council for wanting to get rid of Surrey RCMP. They are not to blame for all of the shootings and gang life in our city. They are doing the best that they can given that there are boundaries out of their control. Having our own police force will not change anything and we can’t afford to pay for another police force in Surrey.
  • Red roses to the kind people who stopped to help me and my dog on Saturday after a dog attack in Clayton Heights. You have restored my faith in humanity. Special thanks to the bylaw officers, the nice couple in the pickup truck and the other lady for all their help. We are well and all has been resolved.
  • I would like to show my appreciation to the folks who put together the lovely Bear Creek Light Festival for all to enjoy for free. It was magical and imaginative and must have taken a lot of time and effort and money to accomplish, so please enjoy a big sparkly multi-coloured bouquet of roses and a huge thank you from all the visitors.
  • Roses to all the bus drivers who do their best to get people to where they need to go. Yes, buses are full at rush hour but I want to get to work or home, rather then waiting for the next bus. I will stand like a sardine.
  • Rotten tomatoes to people who can’t keep their yaps shut during Remembrance Day services. These services are a solemn occasion for remembering veterans and those who gave their lives, not for socializing and conducting personal conversations.
  • Rotten tomatoes to Doug McCallum. How shameless is someone who will politicize the death of an individual, no matter what circumstances. This type of person has no business in being the mayor of the great city of Surrey.
