Roses and Rotten Tomatoes (Sept. 29, 2017)

Our weekly collection of compliments and complaints sent in by readers

  • Rotten tomatoes to Surrey’s former mayor. Dianne, how can you be dedicated to one party and believe in what they are trying to do and jump to another party and believe in their policies? Simply put, you thrive in photo ops, while the other candidates worked hard to stay afloat. Took you for a more loyal person than that.
  • Roses to neighbours who have had enough of the mess in East Clayton. I ask you to keep reporting the landlords who think they are above the laws and plan to move people back in to the illegal second suites after the evictions Jan. 31. They will be fined $500 a day! Please keep reporting them. Enough is enough.
  • Rotten tomatoes to Sandy Dunkley and the poorly attended British invasion event. Instead of whining about lack of support for and from the firefighters, why not talk about how to improve the situation? There is usually plenty of support for our firefighters. This has now motivated me to go to Surrey Animal Resource Centre and donate to “Eclipse” the Great Dane. No whining there, I’ll bet.
  • Rotten tomatoes to the City of Surrey and contractors who have been doing the pathetic paving, patch jobs throughout the city. I’ve never seen it so bad. Where’s the quality control? We all need 4×4’s to drive through the city, it’s that bad!
  • Rotten tomatoes to neighbours who break strata bylaws, who continually make loud noises, vacuum late at night with the garage door open, keeping up elderly neighbours. So disrespectful! Rotten tomatoes also to Strata councils who do not enforce the bylaws.
  • May a dump truck load of putrid tomatoes bury alive the many jerk motorists who drove by my kid, in desperate pain from a bicycle accident at 82nd Avenue and 112 Street in North Delta on Sunday afternoon, without stopping to help. Time to turn in your humanity cards, you creeps.
