Second Time Around needs help

Volunteer thrift store needs volunteers to help it continue donating money to local groups.

Dear Editor

I would like to explain how Second Time Around works. This is a non profit organization, run strictly by volunteers. No one gets paid! We rely on the generosity of local donations to stock the store. The money raised is given to assist local non profit groups with projects. All the money raised stays in our area.

I am sure that everyone in town has benefited by the store in one way or another, if you go to a parade or rodeo,  enjoy the flowers or a bench to sit on in town or attend almost any sports even, we have likely helped out with grants.

The reason I am writing this is that I find it hard to believe that we have such a hard time getting volunteers to help in the store. Without the volunteers there would be no store and we are always looking for good volunteers. Even if you can only spare a few hours a week, it would be a great help to us. We are open Wednesday and Friday from 9 – 3.

I am sure that with all the groups we have helped out, there must be a few people that would be willing to help out.
