Seniors group puts activity out of range

Parkinson senior society has set prices too high.

To the editor:

The Parkinson senior society, at its AGM June 13, raised the annual dues from $10 to $15—a 50 per cent increase. They did not stop there; they raised user fees 100 per cent.

A lot of these seniors are on fixed incomes and now they will not be able to enjoy as much their activity.

I was disheartened, disgruntled and disgusted. Because they have $125,000 in the bank. Are these centres not non-profit, if not they should be.  Stick it to the seniors again.
