I keep wondering why the Regional District of North Okanagan keeps trying to prevent us from enjoying one of the nicest places in the world? The only access to the Shuswap River now that we have is at the fish hatchery or Mabel Lake campground. Does no one think of the businesses that are affected that are selling fishing equipment that is lost, providing local employment. I think we should be trying to provide walk-in access instead of more restrictions. I am a fisherman that has enjoyed fishing for salmon on the mid Shuswap River for 46 years and it looks like my grandchildren are going to get shut out.
