Sirens are too much

Editor:

As residents of Aldergrove with a home backing onto 264 Street, we are constantly bombarded with the sirens of emergency vehicles heading south on the highway, first the police, then a fire station vehicle and finally an ambulance or two. This continues 24 hours a day, yet nothing is reported in the paper as emergencies, auto accidents, fires, or health issues.

I do not wish to appear ghoulish, but if nothing newsworthy is happening perhaps the expense of these vehicles rushing back and forth could be curtailed or at least be utilized in a more practical way.

The fire trucks driving down 29 Avenue at all hours of the night, sirens screaming, is particularly bothersome.
