Recent letter writer Bill Waterhouse hit the nail on the head with his letter in the Dec. 6 edition of The NEWS.
Protesters enjoy all the benefits fossil fuels/hydro electric provides them, yet constantly proclaim they are against these same products. How hypocritical of them.
They’re against oil, LNG, hydro electric, wind power, etc., but do not have a viable solution that can replace these sources of power right now. I find it hard to believe in a protester’s cause when they themselves are not truly committed to their cause.
When the protesters from Victoria swim over to the Mainland, walk naked up to Burnaby Mountain and stand there in the cold and rain to make their point against oil and the pipelines, then I’ll find a reason to believe in their cause.
