The North Okanagan RCMP Victims Assistance Program would like to express our sincerest appreciation to the North Okanagan communities for supporting this valuable program throughout the years.
We rely on generous donations from North Okanagan communities for our volunteers to attend training opportunities throughout the year.
The annual police victim services training symposium is the biggest training event for our volunteers in any given year and requires travel. This symposium is a valuable training opportunity with guest speakers that offer workshops on a large range of topics relating to crime, the criminal justice system and trauma.
It is incredibly valuable for our volunteers to continue their learning to better support victims of crime and tragedy in the North Okanagan.
We would like to say a special thank you to the following community-minded businesses for consistently donating over the years so our volunteers are able to attend these training opportunities: Clark Robinson, Royal Canadian Legion branches 25, 35 and 167, Silver Star Rotary, Enderby Care Society DBA Twice but Nice, Nixon Wenger, Vernon Teachers Association, Kiwanis Club Four Seasons, Capri Insurance and Kal Tire.
Thank you for supporting our program and our volunteers with your generous donations.
