Some Sundays ago — a very wet and windy day — I noticed that my long fence at the side of the house next to the street was falling inward considerably.
I knew I needed to brave the elements and try to do something ASAP, but not sure if I could actually cope with the task myself. I had just decided to let the “chips (fence) fall where they (it) may” when the doorbell rang.
This very nice man asked if he could fix my fence. He said he had been walking his dog past my house and noticed the problem. It was unbelievable to me that a total stranger would care enough to come back in that stormy weather and offer to help. Thank you, Brian. I am convinced that the Good Samaritan still exists.
