Dear Sir:
Every day, millions of Canadians donate their talents and energy in service of others.
Volunteers are truly the roots of a strong community.
April 10-16, 2016 is a special week, National Volunteer Week.
It celebrates and honours volunteers who generously give their time to make communities caring, strong and supportive.
I’m especially grateful to the volunteers whose tireless dedication and commitment make it possible to support people going through cancer and to save lives through cancer research.
Doing everything from selling daffodil pins and running fundraising events, to providing one-to-one support for cancer, the Canadian Cancer Society’s volunteers fight back against cancer and make an incredible contribution.
To all the volunteers who make your community bloom – thank you.
Happy National Volunteer Week!
