Re: Medical care at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (NRGH).
My husband and I would like to join in support of the praises of NRGH regarding the excellent medical care that has been available to both of us over the past many years, but especially as he has fought his lengthy battle with cancer.
Throughout this period, the doctors, nurses, paramedics, technicians and staff at NRGH have used their individual expertise to provide him not only with the best treatments available, but they have provided him with reassurance, encouragement and confidence in the system, crucial to his recovery from the physical assaults he has received from this terrible disease. It is a miracle that he is still alive today and I am certain that this is due in great part to the excellent care that was imparted to him by our family physician, Dr. L. McClure and the medical professionals at NRGH.
NRGH has some of the most outstanding specialists and nurses in the Province. From the times the paramedics arrived at our home to take him to NRGH to the times of his discharge, his care was always second to none.
It amazes us that the medical staff can be as patient and dedicated when dealing with the variety of issues that they are confronted with. It is our observation that they continually show the same devotion, care and concern to everyone who needs it and in the same manner that we experienced it.
