On July 11, I was riding my scooter along King George Boulevard near 70A Avenue when I rode towards what I thought looked like a ramp and was a curb.
My scooter went over and rolled over on my leg. It weights 300 pounds and the pain was excruciating.
Almost immediately, two security guards from the stores and a motorist came to my rescue. They got the scooter off my leg and helped me up after I said I felt I could get up. I ended up with a badly scraped knee and a very bruised and sore ankle – though no breaks.
How does one thank such good people? I did not think to take their names as I was very upset. It is good to know that there are people who will come to your aid and gently, with great concern, help you when you need it. All my sincere thanks.
