The idea of an addition to the Port Theatre, as I understand it, is to create a venue more accessible to the local artist, as well as the public. This is a good investment for the community because an early and continuous exposure to non-material culture is the best prevention against build up of aggression, intolerance and alienation, all reasons for many costly social problems.
