Tanya’s Gift
What do you give for saving a life?
For such an generous, charitable act
Your gift of life, strength, and health
The reward is for all of us in fact
You unselfishly gave Todd a kidney
When he fell ill and nearly died
No words can express our gratitude
To you who gave so he could survive
Is there a way I can repay such kindness?
No, there is nothing I can give
The gift we all receive from your offering
Is that our dear friend lives
And so Todd will continue his life’s work
And be a great blessing to country and friends
As he and the Lord save babies and slaves,
Change the face of politics, and His flock tend
I begin with saying a heartfelt thank you
You have my deepest respect
I pray “The Lord bless you richly
And you and your families’ lives protect”
When Jesus puts a splendid crown upon your head
And the angels celebrate, dance, and sing
Here is our precious, faithful daughter
Whose gift made heaven’s bells ring
All these people gather today in your honour
To celebrate, share snacks and have fun
But your true reward waits in heaven with Jesus
When he says “Well done my daughter, well done”
