We are focussing more and more on our tourism industry with more than one organization pointing out its importance to this portion of the Island.
No one knows this area better than you. And who better to promote it?
Our waterfronts usually spring to mind when we think of local tourist attractions, but locals know there is so much more that makes our communities great.
Every year we publish a set of tourist guides that highlight things to do and quaint stops between Cedar and Crofton.
They are filled with information about festivals, attractions and, of course, advertisements, but has been missing something over the years … your suggestions.
Like we said, no one knows this area better than you, so help us guide our visitors to the areas they may not otherwise think to visit.
There are obvious suggestions such as visiting Askew Park or playing at Transfer Beach. But for every obvious suggestions, there are likely five things local citizens know about that a tourist would never think, or have the time, to search out on their own.
Maybe it is as simple as a walk down Fourth Avenue in Ladysmith at sunset or a certain secret hiking trail or kayak spot.
