The best part of my job is the opportunity to meet and chat with so many wonderful people in the various communities of Fraser-Nicola. But representing such a large riding means a lot of travel! That’s why I’ve turned my motorhome into a travelling office this summer, to speak first-hand with constituents.
This is so important, because each area has unique needs and concerns. Whether I’m meeting with local government or First Nations representatives, or popping into a coffee shop to talk to residents and small business owners—I’m listening.
I look forward to meeting and chatting with residents in Ashcroft and Cache Creek. I’m sure some of the exciting items we’ll discuss include the planning portion of the Rural Dividend fund being awarded to a number of communities that applied, including both Ashcroft and Cache Creek. These project development grants will help us promote economic sustainability and will contribute to the area’s overall resilience and livability.
I’ve made stops in Merritt, Quilchena, Lac le Jeune, the Bridge River Valley, and Hope, and enjoyed visits with the Upper Nicola and Boston Bar Indian Bands. I will be reaching out to all communities in the riding as part of this extensive summer outreach tour throughout Fraser-Nicola.
Whether you’re staying close to home or travelling around our region for the remainder of the summer, look out for my motorhome, which I’ve wrapped with my name and face so you can’t miss me!
I look forward to speaking with you directly about the issues that matter most to you—and figuring out how we can work together to make great things happen in Ashcroft, Cache Creek, and throughout Fraser-Nicola.
