To the Editor,
My husband and I recently returned home from visiting his parents in Nanaimo and had the privilege of walking through the Colliery Dam Park.
To our utter amazement we find out this beautiful, relaxing area that is enjoyed by all is going to be taken away.
Nanaimo council could learn from tornado alley in the U.S. Even though they have their lives ripped apart yearly, the people pick up and move on.
Spend money on restoring this beautiful area and not tearing it down.
If there is an earthquake, the entire Island is at risk. Would council suggest all Islanders move to a city where this may not happen?
