Re: 32nd Annual Walk for Hearts

Thanks to all of you who helped us raise a whopping $13,839 at our 32nd annual Walk for Hearts on May 6 – all our members and friends who donated prizes and delicious food and volunteered at the event; all the businesses and citizens who donated funds, Walkers; those who went into the community getting & giving pledges. Tax receipts were issued to everyone.

Special thanks to Rich Hagensen and Joanne Banks for their wonderful music, Debra Wilson for the rousing warm up, Willow Pt. Lions, Hub Barton, North Island Co-op, Quality Foods, Merle Norman, Ruth and Ron Dittberner and top fundraisers: Reg Eaton, Josephine Derks, Ken McRann, Dan Bergsma & Mike McGrath. Thanks also to the CR Mirror, CR Spring Recreation booklet, Volunteer Centre newsletter and What’s on Digest for the Ads.

You have ensured financial support for heart patients & the purchases of life saving cardiac equipment for our CR Hospital. Anyone with a cardio-vascular problem & their families are welcome to join us. We are not affiliated with the Heart & Stroke Foundation nor do we receive any govt. funding. We are a support group for heart patients and their families, all volunteers. The funds are raised locally and stay local! See you next year!
