We know the difference between right and wrong

Dual citizen has an LNG sigh over what she sees as selling out.

Editor,

LNG sigh. As a duel citizen I benefit from cheap northern B.C. natural gas. You keep America strong with the best jobs while also attracting the vile unemployed

Native consultation was a factor as a scapegoat is needed when the land, air, water faces destruction in two to five years. You may think you’re rich shopping with a new car after filling up on chinese food. More shameful — a person who studied earns $10-20,000 in two to four weeks without destroying the land, water & air!

When will our people take responsibility. Illness, Indian Act, Residential Schools, Opiate Crisis fits in with industry oppression. How do we know some greedy ancestor didn’t put us where we are? We overcame so many crisises designed as genocide — industry is just another one that our grandchildren will be cleaning up. The murders of my cousin while a transient band was in town in the ’80s to the countless women remain unsolved & you welcome more transients. Way to go, well done chiefs who signed.

We who speak up for the land & what’s right aren’t your enemies. We know the differences between right & wrong. I’m a Wet’suwet’en nurse having worked from B.C. to Quebec to Louisiana to Vermont — I’ve seen lots of strange people — but you who are so easily sold take the cake.

I was in the Middle East in Oct. 2018. People with whom I spoke were taken aback at how without question many signed onto destruction. There, the land is dead. And the people didn’t benefit from the American companies’ promises. Some uneducated Bedouins became monkeys in business suits benefited for a short term. Their promised millions after getting a few thousand money is GONE. LNG is finished with them.

If this upsets me I can’t imagine how many feel up there. Nice job chiefs who sold out — way to watch out for an already hurting nation instead of your pockets

God bless us who stand up what’s right.
