We should re-learn how to listen to the Earth
There is a Maori chant that is sung calling us to listen: to Spirit, to Earth, to what is around us, to what is within us, and to one another.
If we could actually re-learn how to do this, we would hear the whales moaning, we would hear the Amazon jungle screaming, we would hear the thirsty earth crying out. We would thus be freed from debating numbers and statistics that too easily bypass our intuitive connections to our environment and to one another all around the world.
