Dear Editor,
When crude oil was over $70 a barrel, our gas prices were $1.37 a litre. They have been the same for most of the year. But now our prices are still the same. With crude about $50 a barrel, our Canadian oil, Western Canada Select, is under $20 per barrel. Other places in BC saw their prices go up, in Vancouver up to $1.60 a litre, but now they are $1.30 (including the extra transit tax). Kitimat, Smithers and Prince Rupert, prices are 10 cents a litre less. So what is so special about Terrace gas prices that they do not move?
