When people think of the perfect boss, it is usually someone who you can work with and have fun with. Someone that mentors you but still gives you the freedom to learn on your own as well. Janet has been that boss to me since I began working for The Star.
I have said before that Janet is the reason for a lot of the opportunities I have received. That is obviously still true today. I have a great job that I am lucky to have and am going to school for something perfect for me. I owe both of these things to Janet.
I owe many things to Janet. She has shown me things through her words and actions that I am unsure that she even realises.
When I found out that Janet would be stepping away from her position at The Star, for selfish reasons I wasn’t happy. But that being said, I am extremely happy for her. I know that she will be successful in whatever she does. Her creativity and business skills will take her far in whatever she may choose to do.
I wish her luck in everything she does and I know that I will still see her often. I mean come on, her last day was last week and she is still in the office!
I know I am speaking for everyone in the office when I say that Janet has been and always will be a great boss and a great friend. We all wish her nothing but the best and work won’t quite be the same without her.
So thank you once again Janet for all the opportunities you have presented to me. I am and always will be grateful for everything you have done.
