Where have those trousers been?
The other day we went for lunch and as we were waiting for our orders to come I scanned the near empty dining room and watched a waitress clear a table and clean it. It took me some time to register that she used the same cloth to wipe the table with disinfectant spray and then the chairs. As she worked her way down the other tables and chairs, she used the same cloth, not once rinsing it. Only to shake it out and hang it over the side of her station when she was done.
Right away Shania Twain’s ‘Whose bed have your boots been under?’ came to my mind except I was asking “Where, oh where have these trousers been? Oh what oh what have they seen?”
A bit squeamish I ate my lunch, making sure to wipe my side of the table off with a disinfectant wipe.
I’m just wondering how difficult it would be to have a small bucket with a bleach or disinfectant solution at the station to rinse the cloth(s) in. Or how much it would cost to have a cloth for tables and one for chairs?
Under normal circumstances I would not have noticed this as the areas are usually full of diners. But now it caught my eye and made me wonder!
