On June 30, 44 townfolk boarded the Steelhead Hockey Bus on a very lovely day to a trip to historic Hazelton.
We were blessed with a beautiful sunshine day, spectacular scenery, and greeted with a great welcome and hospitality.
Our first stop was Mercedes Beans coffee house. We were given gift bags with goodies and discount coupons.
After coffee and treats we boarded the bus to ‘Ksan Historical Village, so rich with history and culture of Gitxsan First Nations. We were all toured through by two lovely young ladies, most enjoyable.
We then boarded the bus again to the B.C. Historic Cafe. They prepared a very lovely lunch for us, then we all scattered to walk through various places of interest and shops and was very warmly welcomed everywhere.
It was truly a lovely day to behold. This all was sponsored by the Interior News and merchants of the Village of Hazelton. It also was under the very able guidance of Otto Koldyk Jr. We all would like to express our most sincere thanks to one and all.
