The Langley Minor Lacrosse Association and Your City Sports teamed up to donate 160 pairs of new socks to the Salvation Army Gateway of Hope homeless shelter in Langley.

The association had ordered custom-made socks for their seven-on-seven field lacrosse jamboree on Saturday (Oct. 11) through Your City Sports, a Surrey-based business.

For every pair that was purchased, Your City Sports donates a pair of socks to a homeless charity within that community.

Since Your City Sport began nine months ago, they have donated more than 8,000 pairs of socks to various charities in B.C. and Washington State.
