Kitimat athletes will once again be representing the district at this year’s BC’s 55+ Games being held this week in Cranbrook and Kimberly.
The 70 athletes from Zone 10 will also be competing to receive one of the 2,000 special medals sponsored by Rio Tinto for this year’s games. This is the second year of a three-year agreement by the company to sponsor the medals for the Games, a total commitment of $15,000.
“We would like to thank Rio Tinto for their continued support of the 55+ Games,” said Zone 10 director Bill Whitty.
