Peewee black football squad blanks Southside Dawgs to win crown

The Abbotsford Falcons peewee black football team is the best in the province.

The club wrapped up an excellent season with a dominant 48-0 win over the Southside Dawgs from Nanaimo during the British Columbia Community Football Association’s final in Coquitlam on Sunday.

Abbotsford controlled the game from the opening snap, with Jaiden Sharma scoring a rushing touchdown early. Elijah Black added a quarterback sneak major a few minutes later, and then Joel Muller added another rushing touchdown. Ryelly MacDonald also scored a rushing touchdown to put the Falcons up 30-0 after the first half.

MacDonald collected another major on the ground in the second half, and Sharma caught a pass to give the Falcons the big win.

Sharma was awarded the sportsman of the day award, with MacDonald named the game’s most valuable player.

The Falcons earlier won the VCFL title and then steamrolled through the competition in the regional playoffs.
