The Canadian Rugby League Association is officially coming to Abbotsford next month.

The CRLA and the Abbotsford Rugby Football Club announced earlier this week that three exhibition games featuring four different teams are coming to Abbotsford in October.

The trio of games kicks off on Oct. 13, when the BC Bulldogs take on the Jamberoo’s from Australia. Action continues on Oct. 21, when Western Canada battles the Queensland Police Squad. The games conclude with the Bulldogs taking on Queensland Police Squad on Oct. 24.

All the games occur at Rotary Stadium, and kick off at 7 p.m. The games are all free of charge. ARFC players are featured on both the Bulldogs and the Western Canada team.

In other ARFC news, Jake Thiel has been named to the Canadian senior men’s team. Thiel is one of 19 players who have been carded and will train in Langford.

ARFC players Emily Baker, Hunter Czeppel, Sarah Klok, Tausani Levale, Shalaya Valenzuela and Liriel Yurick have all been named to the long list for the Rugby Canada U18 female team. The team will compete in the spring and summer in international games representing Canada.
