Hundreds came to Abbotsford earlier this month for the Abbotsford International Judo Championship, hosted by the Abbotsford Judo Club.
Over 350 entries from judo clubs from B.C. and the United States participated in the first tournament of the season for the province.
In attendance was Mayor Braun who, gave a greeting to the athletes and opened the tournament. Tournament organizers thanked the AJC’s many volunteers who did the refereeing, score keeping, medical, mat moving, setup, cleanup and concession.
Organizers also thanked the City Of Abbotsford for providing the facility to host this successful event.
