Super League Curling hit the sheets last week for their season opener, Wednesday, Oct. 10.
The CDC went head to head against Cariboo Pulp in the opener.
The kids teeter tottered their way to a close season opening win over the always tough Cariboo Pulp crowd.
After the action cleared CDC came away with six points to Cariboo Pulp’s four.
On sheet B, Billy Barker Casino stood up to Handi Storage.
Billy’s strong hand in the sixth cause the storages ‘handi’ to fold, something they couldn’t come back from.
The Casino took the game, 4-2.
A&W headed off against JAR Transportation on sheet C.
With A&W leading 5-2 after six ends and JAR Transportation facing three more in the seventh, Joe’s last rock wrecked out front giving up a steal of three and that was the game, with A&W sitting at eight to JAR’s two.
Douglas Lake Equipment and the Investors group dueled on sheet D.
In the feature match, the DLE boys, the defending Super League Champs, came out with all four cylinders firing and plowed their way to a six end tilling of the Investors Group, DLE eight, Investors Group two.
Willis Harper and Karin’s Deli took the final sheet.
Karin’s Deli welcomed the new team from Willis Harper Hardware to Super League Curling by giving up a three spot in the eighth end for a final score of Willis Harper nine, Karin’s Deli eight.
The Super League hits the sheets every Wednesday, 7 p.m., with some great plans for bonspiels making their way down the pipeline.
