The Aldergrove Kodiaks had to settle for fourth place at the Cyclone Taylor Cup on Sunday.
The Kodiaks fell 0-3 to the host team of the provincial junior B hockey championship, the Creston Valley Thunder Cats in the bronze medal game on April 9.
The Kodiaks outshot the Cats 45-44 but were unable to find the back of the net. The Cats scored their three goals in the first half of the first period.
The Kodiaks sole win at the four-game round robin series was 5-3 over the Beaver Valley Nitehawks on Friday.
Ironically the Kodiaks were the only team to beat the Nitehawks, the Kootenays team which went on to win the gold medal at the Cyclone Taylor Cup, with a 6-2 win over Vancouver Island’s Campbell River Storm on Sunday.
