A pair of Walnut Grove graduates were honoured as collegiate volleyball all-stars.Third-year libero Brittany Stewart and fourth-year right-side hitter Aaron Flanagan were both named second team B.C. Colleges’ Athletic Association all-stars.The pair play for the Fraser Valley Cascades’ women’s and men’s volleyball teams, respectively.Stewart, the team captain, was third in the conference in digs with a 4.65 average and her leadership helped guide the young team to the post-season.Flanagan was sixth in total offence with 3.89 average per game on his blocks, digs and kills. The men’s team also qualified for the post-season, but both squads failed to advance over the weekend at their respective provincial championships.
