All-star Conway joins senior B Nanaimo Timbermen

Four-time WLA all-star returning to Harbour City for Presidents' Cup run

The senior B Nanaimo Timbermen announced a major mid-season signing.

Cory Conway has joined the Re/Max Timbermen for the remainder of the 2018 season, according to a club press release.

Conway is a four-time all-star in the Western Lacrosse Association and has 181 goals and 527 assists in 170 senior A games, to go with 93 goals and 274 assists in 125 games in the National Lacrosse League.

Conway is a former member of the senior A Nanaimo Timbermen, and, while playing against the Timbermen in a game two seasons ago, set a WLA record with 17 points.

The senior B Timbermen, hosts of the Presidents’ Cup, are in first place in the West Coast Senior Lacrosse Association standings but have lost three straight games.

GAME ON … The T-men visit the Ladner Pioneers on June 28, then play a rematch against the Pioneers on July 4 at 7 p.m. at Frank Crane Arena.
